Suzy Systems is proud to announce the release of Version 3.90.  This release contains many useful and exciting features.  This release is included to all users with current software maintenance contracts.

1. End of Month - Billing Statements:

Functionality to send patients Monthly Billing Statements via email, in addition to or instead of sending them by mail.   Reduce time and expenses by choosing option to process your patients’s statements via email, requires entry of valid email address on Patient Information screen and updating Suzy Contact Manager.  Statements can be sent in the body of an email message or as a separate attachment.  Compatible with email interface available in Microsoft Outlook.   SAVE TIME, SAVE MONEY.


2. Contact Manager

The Contact Manager defines how patients wish to be contacted and in what order, provides controls for Text Messaging as well as containing parameters for processing billing statements, via mail, email or both options as described in feature 1.

Text messages are only able to be sent to Mobile telephones.  To send a text message user needs to know the telephone carrier the patient uses for their Mobile phone.  A complete carrier data base system has been added and you are able to add additional carrier information.  This information is managed in the following screen.   This screen is accessible from the Patient Information screen by clicking the icon to the right of any telephone number field.   Text messages are limited to 140 characters.

Users are able to send an email or text message to patients by clicking on Email from Patient Information screen.   Choose the type(s) of message you wish to send, user has option to choose Email, Text Message or Both.   Click New Message, promptly type message and Send.


3. Text Messaging Through Forms Merge:

Obtain information you are looking for by using Forms Merge processing.  SuzyDENTAL now provides functionality to send email or text message via the MAILER format (due to text message limitations on some carriers the overall length of these messages is limited to 140 characters).  For example, email and text messages are able to be generated for next day(s) appointments, to assist in your confirmation process.

4. Enhanced Patient Lookup

The "Select a Patient" lookup screen now provides additional lookup selections by allowing users to search for patients by email address and mobile telephone #.


5. Prescription Writer Enhancements

Prescriptions generated may be saved as a preset script.  Any existing prescription can now be saved in a library which can be used to immediately apply this script to any other patient without having to reenter all the details.   Save time by creating scripts you will be writing on a regular basis!  The Prescription Writer now also allows multiple formats/state.  (In the picture below, clicking on the 'My Scripts' button brings up the window on the upper left displaying all the preset scripts available for inclusion.)


6. Enhanced Account Inquiry Display

Data is able to be sorted and resorted simply by clicking on any column header; sort by Tooth #, Description, Procedure Code, Doctor #.  Clicking once again on the same column header resorts the data in reverse order.

7. Enhanced Eligibility Inquiry

When a name is not recognized when checking on a patient’s insurance eligibility, we have found it may be the result of a “non-standard name”.  If the name entered into SuzyDENTAL does not accurately match the name held by the insurance company, the Eligibility check may report back “Patient Not Found”.   A new feature has been added to adjust the spelling of patients/subscribers name when making Eligibility Inquiry.


8. Electronic Processing of Medical Claims

Now you can submit medical claims electronically (just like electronic dental claims).  Previously these had to be printed and mailed.

9. Appointment Exporter Report

Appointment data is able to be exported to a file which can be uploaded to third party messaging systems, such as Televox.   Multiple file formats are available depending upon service that you choose.  Additionally you are able to email this file, as an attachment, with all information contained in your schedule to yourself or your providers.   Report contains providers, patient name with appointment date and time as well as their contact telephone numbers.

10. Improved Forms Merge Processing

Individual specialized reports have now been linked to Forms Merge:

• Accounts Receivable Transactions by Description • Birthday Lists • Credit and Outstanding Balance Report • Delinquent Accounts Report • Multiservices Report • Patient Lists • Unused Benefits

New features offer automatic links, for the list of patients generated by these reports, directly to Forms Merge.   Without further processing you are able to generate letters, email messages, text messages, or print labels to this specific group of patients.

Many of these reports calculate values for each patient (e.g., Unused Benefits Report calculates the amount of insurance remaining for current calendar year). When Forms Merge runs, these data fields now become available.   In this case the amount of the patients’ unused benefits displays first in list of available data fields.

Example: The Accounts Receivable Transactions by Description Report. After the report runs the following screen appears:

Opening Forms Merge will prompt the following screen.  If user selects “Yes” the list of patients will be imported into Forms Merge along with all available information.

Also, additional fields have been added to Forms Merge: Last Date Seen for a patient or a family.  This facilitates using Forms Merge to send out reminders to your patients.

Finally, when sending emails from Forms Merge you are able to include an attachment with your email messages.   Develop your own marketing plan with your own personalized practice flyer and for no cost at all email your entire patient database.  SAVE TIME, SAVE MONEY.
