When programming a survey action, you’ll have the ability to clone, delete and reorder questions as needed.
Cloning questions
To clone a question within a survey, click the icon that looks like two documents. Your cloned question will appear right after the original question in the survey, and all subsequent question numbers will adjust with the addition of the cloned question.
When you clone a question within a survey, all the question settings will be copied over, including any in-step logic, piping logic, added media, and randomization settings. You’ll notice the words “Copy of” will be added to the beginning of the cloned question text, and the platform will prompt you to adjust the wording.
Deleting questions
To delete a question within a survey, click the icon that looks like a trash bin. When you delete a question from a survey, the subsequent question numbers will adjust with the deletion of the question.
If you attempt to delete a question that is required for another question’s in-step or piping logic, the platform will not allow you to delete it. You’ll see a pop-up that details which questions have logic that needs to be removed before you can delete the question.
Reordering questions
To reorder questions within a survey, you can simply drag and drop them to change the order. When you reorder questions in a survey, the question numbers will adjust accordingly.
If you attempt to reorder questions in such a way that their in-step or piping logic would be out of order, the platform will not allow you to reorder the questions. You’ll see a pop-up that details which questions have logic that needs to be removed before you can reorder the questions.
