Acceptable Behavior
While some behaviors are not ideal to occur during an IDI or focus group, they may not be grounds for an interview replacement. These behaviors may include smoking, breast feeding, cursing, and bad wardrobe.
Unacceptable Behavior
In contrast, there are some behaviors that we will not tolerate from respondents during interviews. This includes aggressive or demeaning language, lying during screening, being inebriated, driving during the interview, and being improperly clothed. If a respondent exhibits unacceptable behavior, we recommend cutting the interview short.
